Working on that.
From what I understand, a friend with benefits is someone you would consider a friend, but you have the uh.. physical aspect of a romantic relationship there. Now don't get carried away, no funny business is going on here. In the words of my husband, "Who even has TIME for an affair??" I'm just saying, why can't we have a lower version of that? I'm way too busy and anxiety ridden to have a friend, can I get something like a stranger with benefits? Like, we go out once a year or when we get lonely and have a blast doing friend things, like shopping or spa days or whatever friends do, and then we never talk to each other.
Yeah, okay, you're right. That wouldn't work and I'm a bad friend. All of my friends are way more patient than I am, cos I would have dumped me a long while back.
Luckily they haven't, so I went out last night to a (gasp) movie with a couple girls from work. We saw The Other Woman, and coming from someone who doesn't typically like movies (have I mentioned I've never seen Forrest Gump?) and hates sitting still for that long in a freezer they try to pass off as a viewing room for movies... That movie rocked. It really did. If you make a movie and can make a pessimist laugh the whole time, you done did right. Plus, Taylor Kinney was rocking the Salt n' Pepper hair look, which is my weakness. As a woman married to a man with dark hair, don't think I'm not trying to speed up the process and make him go gray.
Speaking of my husband, while I was at said movie, the men of the house got some time to themselves. I don't know what it is, but something about a man who lets you have a night to yourself and flawlessly takes care of everything as well as your child while you're gone is awfully cute. Now I'm off to repay him by making sure our house is spotless when he gets off work. Okay... maybe not spotless. Let's shoot for at least "less funky". ;)
